At Fox Valley RV, we believe in giving back to the heroes who have given so much for our country. That’s why we are proud to sponsor the 6th Annual Veterans Backyard Bash, happening this Labor Day Weekend, August 29–30, 2025, at its new location: the Waupaca County Fairgrounds in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.
This incredible community event was founded in 2020 by local businessman Brad Lind, whose mission was to create a gathering that not only celebrates our veterans but also provides meaningful financial and medical support for those in need. Through its partnership with Community Benefit Tree, the Veterans Backyard Bash has grown into a life-changing resource for countless local veterans and their families.
A Weekend of Celebration and Support
The 2025 Veterans Backyard Bash promises two days filled with fun, community, and heartfelt appreciation for our service members.
Friday, August 29 (6–10 PM)
- Live music featuring The Spicy Tie Band
- Delicious food and drinks
Saturday, August 30 (8 AM–11 PM)
- 5K/10K Walk & Run (8:30 AM start, T-shirts for all participants)
- Cornhole Tournament with cash prizes
- All-Day Live Music: Sizzlin’ Sonny’s Rockin’ Roadshow, Dave Steffen Band, Carbon Road, and Mt. Olive Band
- Kids Activities, raffles, and a silent auction
- 4 PM Veterans Ceremony honoring our local heroes
- Professional Fireworks to close out the evening
Whether you’re running in the 5K, playing cornhole, enjoying the bands, or just spending time with friends and family, you’ll be part of a community rallying around a great cause.

The Veterans Backyard Bash is more than just an event—it’s a lifeline for those who have served. All profits go directly to support local veterans and their families, helping cover critical expenses like medical treatments, housing, and unexpected financial challenges.
Over the years, the Bash has touched countless lives. Families have shared heartfelt testimonials about the difference this event has made, from easing medical bills to providing stability during difficult times. As one recipient, Dorothy Thurston, shared:
