Kunes Camper Convo: Inside the Brinkley RV Difference

Published on Oct 15, 2025 by Matthew Kroll

At Kunes RV, we love bringing you behind the scenes with the people and brands shaping the RV lifestyle. In this Camper Convo, Jocelyn from Kunes RV of Sterling sat down with Brenden from Brinkley RV to talk about the company’s journey, the craftsmanship behind their builds, and what makes Brinkley such a standout name in the RV world.

From the Ground Up: Brinkley’s Rapid Rise

Brenden has been part of the Brinkley team for more than three years — from the very beginning. “I got to come on board really early,” he shared. “It’s been an awesome journey to see where we started and where we are now.”

In just a few short years, Brinkley has grown into one of the most talked-about names in the RV industry, earning praise for their attention to detail, innovative engineering, and commitment to quality.

And they’re not slowing down. “We’ve got a lot of new floor plans coming,” Brenden said. “Model Z, Model Y, and Model G are all getting new layouts. We want to make sure there’s a Brinkley RV that fits everyone’s needs.”

Built Better: What Sets Brinkley Apart

When it comes to construction, Brenden says the Brinkley difference often lies in what you can’t see.

“A lot of it starts in the chassis, before the floor even goes down,” he explained. “We use pre-made wire harnesses for every floor plan. Every wire is loomed and labeled, which means fewer errors, easier troubleshooting, and a more consistent build.”

That same philosophy carries through every system. Instead of the plastic fittings found in many RVs, Brinkley uses brass plumbing connections to eliminate one of the most common warranty issues—water leaks.

Inside, the quality is immediately noticeable. From steel-framed island bases to high-end cabinetry and seamless trim work, everything feels more like a custom-built home than a traditional RV. “We wanted it to feel like home when you walk in,” Brenden said. “No staple holes, no putty lines—just clean, modern, residential design.”

A Legacy of Experience and Innovation

Brinkley RV was founded by a group of industry veterans with more than 100 years of combined experience: Ron and Bill Fenech, Micah Staley, Nate Goldenberg, and Ryan Thwaits. Each brought deep expertise from previous RV ventures—but more importantly, a shared passion for building something better.

The brand was born during the pandemic, a time when RV demand was high but quality across the industry had slipped. “They wanted to create a product and brand where you could walk in and immediately tell it was built better,” Brenden said. “We engineered out the issues from the start.”

Beyond building great RVs, Brinkley also prioritizes customer care. “The support side is just as important, if not more important, than the product itself,” Brenden emphasized. “We’ve built a strong customer care team to make sure owners are supported every step of the way.”

A Community That Feels Like Family

When asked what he personally loves most about Brinkley, Brenden didn’t hesitate. “The owners,” he said.

He told a story about a Brinkley customer who upgraded from one model to another, but stayed connected to the community. “Our owners are awesome,”

he said. “They travel to shows, come to factory tours, and help each other out. It’s a really special community to be part of.”

The Future of Brinkley and the RV Lifestyle

As Brinkley continues to innovate with new designs and stronger builds, it’s clear their focus remains on one thing—creating RVs that make travel more comfortable, reliable, and personal.

From their thoughtful wiring systems to their residential interiors, Brinkley RV represents a blend of modern engineering and timeless craftsmanship—and that’s something we at Kunes RV are proud to stand behind.
