There is a well-know saying that goes; “Freedom isn’t FREE.” Freedom High School’s Freedom Wheels program is the perfect example of the amount of people and resources it takes to give back in order to allow those that have fought so hard for our freedoms to enjoy freedoms of their own.
Kunes RV of Green Bay donated a 2000 Pace Arrow Vision motorhome to the Freedom Wheels automotive class, and they went to work. With the guidance of their instructor, Jay Abbot, the help of Harbor Freight Tools for Schools supplying the parts and tools to get the job done, local heavy equipment shop Klink Equipment, taking on the safety, chassis and engine checks and a bevy of volunteers that painted, cleaned and repaired everything both inside and outside, the motorhome was presented to its new owner and is out on the road.
Watch as Tim Carr, GM at Kunes RV of Green Bay chats with Jay Abbott, Freedom High School’s auto shop instructor and Freedom Wheels Advisor about their recent project for an area homeless veteran.
At Kunes RV, we appreciate each and every person that has fought for our great country. We understand that we enjoy the freedoms we have because of those who sacrifice so much. We are honored to have been a part of this special project by the students and staff at Freedom Wheels; giving back so that this veteran can truly move forward.
